life can be a tricky thing.

today i think the title speaks for itself. life has been very funny lately...funny probably isn't the right word but today Brady and i decided that sometimes all you can do is laugh. she has definitely shown me that you have to be an optimist and look for the positive in every situation. within the past week both Nik and B have lost their jobs due to circumstances that were out of their control. kind of sucky situations if you ask me. since, Nik and Ava packed everything up and moved to CA to live with Nik's g-ma in hopes to find jobs. B actually only lost her job today but has had such a great attitude about it. it always seems to be that things happen for a reason. we shall cling to this logic in hopes of its truth.

on a different/happier note i am so happy for my bestest friend in the whole wide world, Lyn Lyn. it seems to be that she has found "like" in Paris while studying abroad. i have seen a few pics and to say the least i was slightly jealous. i really hope that things work out for her because she deserves it more than anyone i know.

speaking of boys i feel like i should be honest with the current lack of love in my life. within the past week i have rekindled two relationships. in that same week, both have once again fizzled. to make this horribly long story short i have realized that i really do deserve more. i deserve to be someones priority. their first choice. i shouldn't have to play back up to anyone. i will not settle. this is a promise i am making to myself. i recently found this quote and i fell in love with it. of course it was given by none other than the prophet, Gordan B. Hinckley.

"Girls, Aim high, but do not aim so high that you totally miss the target. What really matters is that he will love you, that he will respect you, that he will honor you, that he will be absolutely true to you, that he will give you the freedom of expression and let you fly in the development of your own talents. He is not going to be perfect, but if he is kind and thoughtful, if he knows how to work and earn a living, if he is honest and full of faith, the chances are you will not go wrong, that you will be immensely happy...True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well-being of one's companion."

i know things will happen for me. i too know that i do have to be somewhat more proactive than i am now. this is my goal. i have high hopes for the future.
